Attack on America -  9/11  2002



 

Terrorists used airliners to crash into World Trade Center and Pentagon Buildings causing the death of thousands of persons and extensive destruction of property.

At 8:45 a.m. (EDT), American Airlines Flight 11 out of Boston, Massachusetts, hijacked by terrorists, crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center. It tore a hole in the building and set it on fire. At 9:03 a.m., a second hijacked airliner, United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston, crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center. Both towers were now on fire.

At 9:43 a.m., a third aircraft,  American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

The south tower of the World Trade Center collapsed at 10.05 a.m. A portion of the Pentagon collapsed at 10:10 a.m.

At 10:10 a.m. a fourth hijacked plane, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, southeast of Pittsburgh.

At 10:28 a.m., the north tower of the World Trade Center collapsed.
Hundreds of persons from the Caribbean perished in the attack.
